Sir Theodore (Teddy) and Princess Grace (Grace)
Teddy and Grace are the most loyal and loving companions’ one person could ever wish for in this world. Teddy is 15 years old and Princess Grace is 5 years old. Teddy has gone blind over the past few months due to cataracts but he is still a happy and playful pup. (Thank you to Eye Care for Animals & Dr. MacLaren for helping ensure he is healthy and happy despite cataracts.) His diminutive size makes one think he is just a puppy, but I acknowledge that he is a senior citizen in the dog world. Grace is a sprightlyand curious soul. She loves being outside in our backyard for hours at a time. She only knows two speeds: full and dead stop! She will chase a ball, an apple, or any item she can find and convince someone to throw for her endless retrievals. When she slows down, she typically falls to sleep . . . Both Ted and Gracie can sleep for hours. Typical of the Pomeranian breed, she wants everyone in the neighborhood to know she is in charge. Anyone approaching our house should be prepared for a loud reception. Teddy will join the chorus to lend his support, albeit from a distant room. We have to use a gate to block the stairs because Teddy has miss-stepped off the top stair and fallen all the way down. He has learned to feel for the steps but still miss gauges the distance. He needs a seeing-eye human to negotiate the steps at the backdoor, too. He has taken a nose dive when he incorrectly estimated the distance between the step and door. We do not mind helping him as he rewards you with his endless devotion. If you have enjoyed the pleasure of a Pomeranian, then you understand the joy of unbridled love and loyalty. I hope you enjoy the photos of our delightful companions.
